F.A.Q's
1) I bet this is a good job isnt it?
A) Its not a job if you enjoy it! Is it? But yes!!! This is the best job in the world and I absolutely love it!! Although we don't get to use them ourselves 🤣 I love being able to provide equipment for all sorts of parties and events. We've provided castles for birthday parties in your garden, weddings, school events, weddings, christenings and even for an Irish League Football Team!!! The truth is being able to provide our equipment, where memories may last a lifetime to the hirer, is amazing and giving you the best service possible is very important to us! It can be stressful at times when we are on the road for upto 17hours a day but we do it because it is so much fun
2) What happens if its raining?
A) All of our castles (apart from frozen) come with built in weather covers, these offer both protection from showers on those wetter days and from direct sunlight in summer. We will however unfortunately cancel any hires in heavy rain for the safety of all.of your little people.
3) Do you take a deposit?
A) Yes we can take a small deposit to secure your chosen equipment and hire day, you can also pay In full or pay on delivery, the choice is yours
4) Is the deposit refundable?
A) The deposit you pay is non refundable, however we hold your deposit for 6 months so you can rearrange your fun day/party as we appreciate that children do get ill 🤒, This is refundable if we have to cancel due to the weather.
5) How much do they weigh?
A) Our lightest castle weighs around 60kg-70kg and our heaviest weighs around 210kg so we lift quite some weight on a weekend
6) What time can you drop it off?
A) During the summer we can have upto 20 pieces of equipment out in a single day, so we start bright and early. We drop our 1st castle off around 7am aiming to get all of our hires out between 11 & 12 and we start collections at around 5pm (these all depend on customer requirements as we do collect until around 11pm.
During the winter we provide for outdoor hires to but operate to daylight hours and for inside hire we work to venue times which can be very strict and we do work closely with the halls in order to get in early and return a bit later in some cases.
7) Where do you store them?
A) Well... I can't really answer that but I currently have a candyfloss machine and Didi cars in my utility room, xmas fencing for our grotto in my garage & garden getting painted 🤣🤣
8) How much fuel do you use?
A) Unfortunately like everyone else we have to suffer the rise in fuel and we can use anywhere up to £200 - £250 per van in fuel a weekend
9) Do you provide staff to supervise?
A) We can provide one of our trained members of staff to supervise your party or event and we charge £60 for 2hrs and £100 for 4hrs
10) Can we come and pick the castle up?
A) To ensure our castle is set up safely for your children and set up with in the law we have to carry out the installation of our equipment.
My personal favourite....
11) Does the castle come already inflated??
A) We attach the castle with tow ropes to the back of the van and fly it to your address like a kite 🤣 (we dont)
We provide full installation and pack away at the end of the day.
12) Can we keep it overnight?
A) Yes, we charge £30 for overnight hire but the castle must me inside a secure garden.
13) Can you set up on Artificial Grass?
A) Unfortunately not, each anchor point of the castle has to have 163kg of weight (so for our smallest castle we would need just shy of a tonne of weight to secure the castle correctly) so if we can't peg it we can't hire it. (This doesn't count for indoor hires as there are no weather factors)
14) Do you have insurance, yes we have £10,000,000 public liability insurance and all of our insurance documents are available on request and we also send a copy out to each of the halls that we use for indoor hires.
15) How often do you clean them?
A) As and when required this could be sometimes at the end of a hire, during a week for an in depth clean or a quick wipe down on set up of the equipment. We operate to keep our castles as clean as possible and in the best condition. A clean castle = Happy customers
16) What are your delivery areas?
A) We have a huge list of delivery areas listed on our website, but if your delivery area isn't on there just ask as we most probably still deliver to your area.
Q: How much notice to I need to give to book a castle?
A: As much notice as possible. During busy times we get booked up in advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind and we will do our best to accommodate you
